The best type of containers for olive oil storage are tinted glass or non-reactive metals like stainless steel. Plastic or copper and iron containers are not the best suitable type of storage.
Use dark bottles or tins to keep out light as light can contribute to the degradation of the oil. While you wont see the oil in a dark bottle, you can be sure that it will last longer. When using light containers, keep those in a dark, dry, and not too hot place.
